Product information
Oxytocin is a peptide of nine amino acids, produced in the hypothalamus and released into the bloodstream via the posterior lobe of the pituitary gland. Two cysteines form a disulfide bridge, so the molecule consists of a ring of six amino acids with a tail of three. In the literature the compound also appears under names such as Pitocin, Syntocinon and alpha-hypophamine.
Research into oxytocin centres on the oxytocin receptor. The literature links that receptor to social behaviour, bonding and recognition, and to the contraction of smooth muscle tissue. In obstetrics oxytocin is registered as a medicine; what we supply falls outside that.
Related products in our assortment are PT-141, Selank and Semax. How to dissolve the powder with bacteriostatic water is explained in our reconstitution and storage guide. The full range is listed under Libido & sexual health.
